Sam, do you have a euro front end or are the sidemarkers just filled in?

I hope this isn't a dumb question but just what is the purpose of that venturi thing and do you give anything up by getting rid of it?

What you give up is constantly fixing vac/boost leaks in the early 951 system. After the venturi delete my immediately pulled 12hg (cold) and 17 hg(warmed or hot) at idle. Those rubber hoses are so hardened and those 'crispy' black OE tubes break by just looking at them. An added benefit for me was better brake assist around town, I had leaks everywhere and very limited brake assist at low speeds.

How did you get your wheel trued? I have one slightly bent wheel in a set of 4 which I want to sell and it doesn't need a total refinish, just a bit of straightening.

Deitz,
There is a place in Indianapolis that trues and refinishes wheels. Rather than buying a new wheel half I figured I would try this first (no shipping is a plus as well). It came out great - they took the tire off, fixed it, then I resealed it and got the tire put back on. My wheels dont have a finish on them though - just straight aluminum so It may be different for each kind of wheel?

Heres the website... http://www.mrwheelsofindy.com/

$140? I can get a wheel straightened and refinished for less than $150 at Wheels America. But a new one is only $225! Looks like there's no cheap way out. Damn.

Nice work guys. That black chrome is stunning! How's about a "how to" on the venturi delete for us, um.. less advanced tuners??

Nice avatar Mike one of my fave movies.

When you deleted the CV what did you do with the electrical connection to the top of it?

Here's Doc Wilen's writeup for the venturi delete: http://karl.wilen.us/images/VacuumLine2.doc

The CV electrical connection was just tucked below the intake.
