Question neutral switch on auto tranny

I have an 86 944 with auto trans does anybody know if the
neutral start or safety switch can be by-passed or disconnected
till i can get one.

Do you mean like a no-start transmission interlock? AFAIK there isnt one, the car should start as long as there is no transmision load, i.e- in Park or Neutral.
This is new one on me- I havent come past this issue before.

Make sure the linkage isnt disconnected at the shifter or at the tranny. HTH.
