Thumbs up West Coast Wrenchers' Club House Party!!

Yup, the time is NOW! We've made it happen, folks! It's official - West Coast Wrencher's NOW has a Club House, but we need to help Legoland finish up the garage, so we have a place to work on ze cars!! Dry walling is the call of the day, and isn't difficult, but Manpower is the NEED! All the parts are there, assembly is required, then some of us can follow along with the patching tape & the jointing compound.

PLENTY of parking now, for a parade of 944s, and a nice BBQ is what is planned.

Place & Time: Sunday, June 26th at WCW's Club House
Starts at 10:30 - 11 AM
Food starts in early afternoon

Location: PM me for address & directions. It's in Long Beach, some of you have already been there.

Surprise: WCW Community Spec car will be sitting there for everyone to look at, YAAY! Rules will be gone over, for future drivers! Anyone who has a wife or girlfriend who'd like to be a fellow Gridgirl, they can talk to me.

May work on one car, needs a cat.

Hope you all can make it!

Hmm. My Daughter is moving in this area later this week. Is "Lomita" anywhere near there? If it is I hope to be able to join you on one of your wrenching party soon.

I'll be there. I even have a drywall gun and some putty knives and stuff somewhere. I've talked w/ Frank about it and naturally I'll help him out but given the short notice I dunno how long I can stay. I suppose I can help next week too if needed.

Devia - how's the neck (spinal stenosis wasn't it)? Did you have surgery? You had me worried for awhile!

MRI DOES show the beginning of spinal stenosis in the lumbar region - surgery will need to be done 5 - 10 years, not right now. DRAT IT! Well, that, 5 herniated discs in neck, 3 in lumbar, degenerative disc disease, and a tumor.

Well, time will tell. I just get tired a lot, from pain. I need to go into real pain management, so I can exercise more, and build up my endurance. At least I know what's going on, along with the FM.

Basically means I'm stuck being our Grid Girl, not a Driver, drat it! Fate could be worse.

I'm in, sounds like a great excuse for a road trip. Do I need to bring anything?

Three kegs of Sam Adams, a cow and a two pint glass bowl containing only brown M&Ms.

Well, I'm going up to Santa Barbara in about half an hour... If I can find my keys, and not overly hungover, I'm coming back down tomorrow. Either way I need to go into LA sunday evening to buy a FAX, so I should go the the meet, then on the way back stop off and buy the fax.

Doh! I'm headed back to SoCal for the week, but I'm making a little detour to Vegas. I'll be lucky if I get to the office on Monday, let alone make it to SoCal by Sunday.

POP, I have a rear view mirror for you and I'll be staying in Rodendo Beach. Send me PM w/ coordinates for your wifey's coffee house and I'll drop it off there.

Lomita is right next door to Long Beach, like just south of Carson or Torrance. It's like a 10 mile (maybe less) to Long Beach.

I wish I could help out, but I'm busy with school at Santa Monica College and I'm studying my *** off.

Lomita is about 1 mile from where I am at currently if that far. The Long Beach is 4.7 miles from where I am now.

I found where Lomita is located. It's just west of West Carson and below torrance. Not too far from Long Beach. My Daughter will be living there for the next 4 yrs as she has to do 4 yrs of residency @ UCLA Harbor hospital. Now that she is there I will more than likely be there at least once a month as I am very close to my Daughter. I'm sure I'll meet up with everyone there sooner or later. Who knows I might just sell my home here and move south since all of my kids are grown up and most of my relatives are in Orange County. Hope to see you all soon....
