There is a wonderful restaurant (actually a number of them) right off the Congress Ave. area. You can watch the bats and eat dinner. They are a draw. Having lived in Austin some time I can tell you I never went just to see the bats but I did see them on occasion while downtown.

The bats fit ini just right with Austin. "Keep Austin Weird!"
