Hotter with the sunroof out or not?

Ever since I've figured out how to remove the sunroof completely, I've cherished the near cab experience of wind in my hair. But I've always wondered if it wasn't hotter with the sunroof out and the sun beating down on you vs. the sunroof in and raised.
What does everyone else think?

I usually had it off during the afternoon hot days when the sun is no longer shining right down through the sunroof.. but i hated having to put it back on and off everytime i stopped somewhere..

More AC? I wish. Still gotta get to that part.
Just seems that general upkeep items and now a planned shock/suspension upgrade will put it off yet another year. Oh well. Better to go faster around the dr. ed. track rather than be comfortable I guess.

I like the feeling with the roof off but hate the road noise. Since virtually all roads are four-lane deals or freeways, the noise level is just unacceptable. On a two-lane road in a more rural area or up in the canyons, I'd say "hell yes" or get a convertable, but driving around the city it's just annoying as hell to listen to the noise of rubber on concrete.

During the summer its off more than its on. Highways, city driving, everything. The noise doesnt bother me, the stereo can keep pace.
Hell during the winter it was off, I got many comments from coworkers about why on earth was my Porsche out in the parking lot with the roof off and snow all over the ground
Roof off on a bright winter day is awsome.

I once took mine on a midnight stealth mission with the S/R off and the hatch removed( took it off for resealing). It was a blast! Pretty noisy though-windy too.It looked really cool too ,much smaller and racier- like some sort of Baja 1000 Rally vehicle or something. Also, whenever someone got on my ***, it lit the whole cabin up since there wasn't anything to block their headlights.
