Default Questions for Serge944

I'm very interested in a new muffler, since I have a cold rattle and I've eliminated every other cause except a loose baffle in my current muffler. The exhaust you have sounds very nice. I was wondering which model V-Force you bought. They have a center inlet/outlet model in 2 1/4" diameter, I can't imagine it being anything else. Am I right?

After you bought the muffler, you installed it using the stock pipes, right? Did you attach them by welding or clamps? Were there any special modifications you needed to make the setup fit?

Thanks.

Well. I had a muffler shop install it. The stock 944 muffler is center in / center out. The one I bought was offset in. This required half of my catback tubing to be redone so that the muffler would sit in the stock location.

Part # V3. Unfortunately, flo-pro doesn't have a center in center out. You have several options:

1. Get a center in and dual out (V10).
2. Get a offset in/center out and have a muffler shop redo some of the tubing.

Good luck! I only paid $40 to have the work done and had a ncie transaction with http://www.completeexhaust.com

Interesting. Flo-Pro's website has a center in / out in 2 1/4" dia. The muffler itself is 14" long.

Stock NA tubing is 2", right?

The tubing is 2 1/4 for a 944 and 2 1/2 for a 951.

If you can find a source for a center in/out go for it! There arent many flo pro dealers though.

Score. I can't find out how to edit my sig, perhaps bc I'm not a paid member yet, but I have an '83 NA. Flo Pro's site lists a 2 1/4" center in/out muffler, now to find one...
