Default Nose panel interchangability

Will an 85.5+ nose panel (an 86) work on an 84? I understand the way these are mounted to the body are a bit different. The early panels are spot welded whereas the later are screwed. Will there be any problems during a swap?

Thanks

Hey;

As long as it is not a turbo nose, it will fit... I'm pretty sure.

I think they are different early to late. At least my 931 nose was spot welded to the body while my 86 n/a is bolt on. I may be wrong.....

Hey;

A welded early nose will go on a late car, and visa-versa. Of course the screw holes on top have to be drilled to hold it on in the later style.

EVERYTHING about a Turbo/S2 nose IS different except the hood. If you have any part of one on any other model, you have funny gaps. The profile is very slightly different.
