Yea, you need 968 headers and an S2 exhaust. Your speedo is in the left front axle/brake assy, so that isn’t an issue. If you use a 944 bell housing, you need a S2 clutch/pressure plate/flywheel assy. If you go with the 968 parts (which is doable), you need a 968 torque tube. The bonus of the 968 parts is that its a 2 piece bell housing, so you can replace the clutch a hell of a lot easier. The downside is that the 968's flywheel alone costs over $1000.

How much is the S2 motor? What does it include?

968 motors are expensive. If you can get an S2 motor, complete and in good shape, say for anywhere around the $2K range, I would jump on it. I know that 30hp is a lot, and the variocam does make a difference, but in your lightish car (compared to a loaded S2, which most of them were), that car will be a rocket with some great low-end grunt, with an S2 power plant.

If you pass on it, and it is in the $2K range, I know someone that will take it.

I was watching that auction. Good choice, if you are going to exchange engines might as well go for the most horsepower. Only thing was the guy wasn't selling the engine with the MAF and connector tube.

Good luck with the swap and enjoy the additional ponies

Tifo - you have a pm.

Jonny - I was bidding on the other items but set my upper limit a few dollars short of what I can get those items at from other sources

This car is going to fly in a few months, maybe I should update my rear sticker to "924S3"
