If I could get my younger son who drives (correct that 'drove') the 83 to get so involved, I would be complete. My older son is all *** and elbows when something needs done on his car and we get it done. Keep that young man working, I wish my Dad had done this when I was young...he did teach me woodworking though and for that I'm thankful!

Michelle,
I am in Chicago for the summer (I used to live in St. Charles). If you need any help with the car please let me know. I've bolted in a 951 engine or two. I would be more then happy to swing by and help wrench on a weekend. The project looks very good! Keep up the good work.

Wow! Thanx for the offer! I could definitely use help as the failing memory has to kick in to remember what goes where However, the car is not in St. Charles. I live about 90 miles SW of Chi-town. Still interested? If so, how's this weekend?

Ah a very clean motor drop! I looked at the Haynes manual on how they did it and just kinda sputtered and cursed over it. I feel more comfortable on a top end pull from a cherry picker than down on the bottom.

Let us know when that car's ready to be fired up!

It actually went right in and bolted up to the torque tube w/o a hitch I was very pleased. Got the crossmember back in and now need to bolt up the engine mounts. I have pics of the old vs new engine mounts. I'll post them when I get home.

The plan is to have her ready for the Fest!

Very cool Michelle, glad to see you're car is getting back together. Both of mine are almost there too!

LOVE the cam tower. Looks amazing.

Great job Michelle!

Your son resembles my 22 year old. Mine is mostly all talk and little action until I start mentioning rent. Surprisingly that is an amazing motivater
