Clock Bulb Installation
THis clock bulb is really becoming a pain in the neck, I followed the instructions and finally got to the back of the clock to remove the bulb, I put a new bulb it and hooked it all back up and the thing still dosent work!!!! Maybe I used the wrong bulb does Porsche have a part Numbers for the bulb and the socket ?

Yes, special bulb and socket...
Porsche part number 944.641.900.00. The last price I have is $2.66.
BTW, take good care of your clock... the price on that new is $369.

I had the same problem with mine, and it turns out I had a bad ground somewhere within the clock itself. To fix, I found a pin that was only getting 12v to it when I turned the lights on, and I soldered a wire from that point to the bulb holder, then soldered a ground wire from the other side of the bulb holder and attached it to one of the in dash screws behind the whole assembly. Kinda a rigged up affair, but being able to read the clock at night made my whole YEAR.
