On my non-starting '94 968, I can't get the check engine fault code indicator to show up in the instrument cluster and blink out the code (it doesn't show up at all). If the DME is not getting electricity, wouldn't that disable or make it impossible for the fault code system to diagnose the problem and work properly? And possibly keep the Check Engine light from lighting up in the cluster?
