One of my roommates woke me up at 4:30 this morning to tell me that my car had been broken into. I'm so pissed right now I can't describe it. They came in the rear windown, ripped my audio equipment out and in the process ripped my hatch carpet in half. The thing that pisses me off the most is the fact that they took the swiss army knife money clip that I got in Switzerland during my trip. If I ever find out who did this I am going to castrate them then shoot them in the head.
Anyone have a spare drivers side rear window, and a brown hatch carpet they would be willing to part with for a decent price?

I have the driver's side rear window for you...although it's from my 95 968, so you'd better check first.
My rear hatch carpet is Black if you're interested.

I think 968 rear windows are shaped differently...unless they are the same, at a different angle?
Sorry for your loss. Could be worse - they could have done damage to the body, door locks, etc. Fixing the rear window is simple compared to body and paint work!

I am going to have to do some touch up paint work where their screw drivers scratched the **** out of the paint, but over all its not too bad.

I'd be pissed. Lock & load.
I believe the 968 hatch will fit, but you need the entire hatch, not just the glass. Do you have theft / vandalism coverage or does the deductable predictably screw you out of anything worthwhile?

I only have liability on my insurance so they aren't paying for anything. Its not the hatch that they broke its the little window on the side of the car.
Believe me I'm locked and loaded... the AR-15 is ready along with my .45 cal Springfield 1911

If all they did you for was some carpet and a quarter window then you will be back in action in 10 minutes! Be thankful.
I have heard back and fourth on this one.
The 968 has flush mounted rear quarters and the 44 does not. So....
I am 99% sure a 968 rear quarter window will not fit.
And a 44 window will not fit in a 968...or S2.
Maybe we should make stickers that say in case of robbery simply pull this window out!!!

The stereo equipment was pretty well hidden, amps mounted under the carpet and sub in a box barely visible when the rear seat was flipped up as it was when the car was broken into.

Man, that sucks. You should really add comp coverage to your auto policy. You can add comp w/o adding collision. It's pretty cheap and it covers for anything other than collision. Theft, hail, glass breakage, etc. Also get a pretty low deductible on it because the comp deductible doesn't change the price much at all.
