The early cars use a different sunvisor clip. Reason is the sunvisors are different and the little bar is a bit thinner. That said I have used late clips in my 84 944 and perfer them to the early ones. The early ones are very tight and it takes two hands to move the visor to the side position.

I personally am not interested in such clips. The stock ones are fine, it just age takes their tool. In 8 years of 944 ownership I have replaced the clips once per car that I have.

it seems that black cars with black interior get very hot when sitting in the sun. I replaced my sunvisor clips because they weaken and broke cause of the heat. another thing that make them break easy is when you have cd holders on the visor that put weight on them.

Weaken from the heat...no way....... THEY MELT!!!!!!!! If you touch my clips anytime this week if my car is outside, they are almost dripping! They get all gooey and nasty. Aluminum would be a nice upgrade.

OK, so you guys know how often I drive Code Red right. So, today, for the first time in I can't recall how long, I back her out of the garage and take her to work. On the way home the back half of the sun visor clip just plops off into the floorboard - I kid you not! Put me down for a set as well.
I've always told the wife the reason I hate to drive the car is that something always breaks - at least it was an inexpensive part this time.

YES! Count me in for nice black aluminum visor clips! I agree with Tony - my clip melted today like a cheap plasic hangar holding a 50 pound weight!

Question I have is how will a metal on metal connection be flexible enough to bend the aluminum and snap in and out??

I had this problem with my 80 928EuroS but never had this problem with any of my other 44/51/28's I read about it all the time...and always expect it.

The majority of my cars have been black on black in the Texas heat with garage door remotes(fat 1970's style) hanging off them!! So what am I missing...or not

I have had one weak sunvisor and it was at the hinge.

Of course having made that statement I fully expect mine to melt!

Quick Reply: i finished drawing up the sunvisor clips
