Default Porsche Clash @ WGI 200+ Photos (56k NO)

I posted this in the DE/Racing forum, but I figured i'd highlight the 944 content for you guys. I was shooting with a friend's 10D which I abosolutely hated, and it was the stock lense. (I probably shouldnt complain as I havent bought my new camera stuff yet because of the car). Anyway, here are the 944 highlights.

Ok guys, here it goes!

Talking with the owner this is what I got, it's got a custom Turbonetics turbo with their own fuel rail and intake manifold, etc. I believe it was still hydrolic lifters, but it had some odd inspection ports so I wouldnt rule solid out. The car was a former Rothman's Cup car that was involved in an accident some time ago which started it's transition to this monster. It was running the full motec "everything" system, I mentioned STACK display when I saw Motec and he was like "Eh, they were nice, I've got two on the table at home, Motec is where it's at." It's got a very nicely built widebody on it, wastegate relocated behind the turbo, and from what I could tell, a good deal of suspension and brake work... HP unknown, but judging by the size of the turbo and induction noise.... ALOT. Dry sump too!
Really nice guy, i'd like to find out more about the car but not sure when I'll make it to another event he's doing.

IIRC it was relocated to the hatch. Seemed like alot of people had done that.

wow, great pics! thanks for sharing. GT class 951's always make me weak in the knees when I see the engine bay. It's sad that I don't know of anyone on Rennlist with a car like that. Here is a GT1 spec car I saw last year at Road ATL.

The Glen looks like a great track, but all that Armco scares me. Does anybody actually have an off and not hit it? Or slam into a tire barrier?

BTW, great shots!
