Default Praying to the Porsche Gods

What a day...

So I go to Steve's house to do my t-belts. "Yeah, I'll be out of there in 2 hours tops." Yah...right. After I finish, the car dies. Wonderful, the metal tube that goes to the J-boot was duct taped on. Well, thank god Steve had something even better than duct-tape: aluminum lined super tape.

Anyways, then I discover what has been causing all those terrible gas fumes - the FPR is pissing gas. Well, time to change the rail. Lucky for me - Steve has one of those too. So that goes on, but ohhh, this one leaks too. I pull the rail off and swap the damper. After about 6 hours if straight wrenching, the car is done. Didn't help that we were both exhausted from never ending wrenching in previous days.

The thing purrs now, I kid you not.

Hear it: http://members.roadfly.org/knechtruprecht/myexhaust.mp3
The quality is ****ty because of the file conversions...sorry.

Serge,
Glad to hear the car is running well and flame free. I finished the Bitch!!! I'll set up the new boost gauge first thing in the morning and dial in the AccuBoost. Man, I'm wiped and there's no beer in the fridge to sooth the pain.

Steve

you wouldn't get so dirty if your car didn't leak so much oil.

I kept an eye out for you at the swap meet, but didn't see you.

Those aren't just oil marks -- they look like Steven took Serge's old T-belt and whipped him up pretty good!

The thing about these projects is that what may take "2 hours" to complete turns into a whole day once you add in the "while your in there" and the "hmmm -- that doesn't work like I thought..." stuff.
