However, your a/f modifications may render your car a gross polluter on the dyno...
Not if it's running well and it's tuned properly. I could pass my Corrado with fat injectors, a tall cam, a Stage 5 ECU and a 22 psi charger pulley just fine! As a matter of fact, it passed better than the "average" numbers!

Unless that thing is built to make serious power (ie, 400+), it's probably still tame enough to pass emissions with a good cat + O2.

Yea, use those for smog - I have a feeling those other ones will only be another possible somethin' that can go wrong! I'll be fine without 'em for a bit, I just want to figure out what's up with my idle. I'll pull the plugs first and check for fouling - might just be old plugs or a rotor or bad ISV or something. I just asked for 'em since it had been bugging me, but now that I'm thinking of it, the car DID idle okay with the Welts in it initially, so I doubt it's just the chips making it run weird.

No one has failed a smog check with the GURU chips yet, so don't worry about that. Your car has stock flow at idle and partial-throttle, regardless of the max-boost settings. The fuel-mappings I have at those ranges are the same as stock as well. But you've had a tonne of parts on & off the car and there can be a lot of things that could've changed and can throw your emissions out of whack.

Find a "friendly" smog-station. Ask around to see where all the hot-rodders with muscle cars go. Those guys typically need the most help with emissions and they usually have a "friend" in the business...
