Hello all,
I am signing on as your newest member. I own a bone stock,130,000 mile white/black , 951 with Turbo twist wheels and vented brakes. The car is in great shape inside and out and I religiously keep up with its basic needs. I am an Electrical Engineer by trade and I come from a drag racing familly, ( Chevy rail dragsters and muscle cars) My brother owns a Chevy Z06, and we both are well rehursed on ECM programming ( HPtuners ) so I hope to get a fast and thorough understanding of our Motronic units along with the mechanical design. I will be pulling the engine out of the 951 shortly and rebuilding it with "larger" internals and external, hehe! I have scanned the posts and think you guys are great. Hope to talk to you soon, Jason

I'm in the teardown stage right now. This is not my primary car so I have indefinate amount of time to rebuild. Basically, I would like to have appox. 400 hp. at the wheels. I would like to stay at my 2.5 liters but I'm willing to go 2.8, maybe 3.0 if the $$$$ figure isnt to high. I have been looking at SPR stage 4 Turbo or there GT series units. As far as engine tuning, I am wanting to stay with the stock setup, with piggyback. I'm really interested in a self programming system via Laptop as like the HPtuners software ( general motors). What is the most popular setup using the stock engine managment out? I also need info on the clutch being used for this power level. Thankx guys for all feedback, Jason

btw, a quick question, How can those guys get 800 plus hp. out of them little 4 cyl. civic motors? I personally havent seen a 800 + hp 951..
