your butane pencil torch i dont think can get hot enough. or it would just take for..ev....er, mapp gas would be better than propane, then acetelene would be the best, but it might be hard to get to it.

I am heading down to Ace Hardware (the only store open on Fridays, our weekends are fridays) that have a big a$$ breaker bar and maybe pick up a few other tools.

I will look for Kroil/PB blaster there as well.........

Andrew: That pencil torche shoots flame(s) for ~3" long and can turn bolts to red hot after only ~1min (i tried it on a few bolts that were NOT installed on the car, for testing purposes only )

hehehe, tools are pretty cheap here. Well......in Sharjah (a city ~30mins away from where i live anyway).

That pencil torche costed me something like $3-$5 or so (maybe every less, can't remember).

Anyways, i gave that bolt one more shot.....no go.

NEED BIGGER BREAKER BAR!!! LOL and heat it up......but tomorrow

I've used the following method and it has worked 99.9% of the time on everything from o2 sensors to exhaust system bolts.
1) get the bolt hot.. red hot! Bolt expands

2) Cool it off quick. bolt contracts. I like to use a can of co2(like those cans used for blowing out computer equipment). Water works as well as it evaporates quickly.

3)As soon as it cools off apply pb blaster and let it soak for about 20 min. It will be drawn into the threads.

4)Apply heat to the nut/housing/whatever the bolt is threaded into. No need to get it red hot, just nice and hot. This tends to expand the external threads a bit.

5)Throw the socket wrench on there and break the bolt loose.

6)Loosen about 3/4 of a turn, spray pb blaster, and tighten back up 1/2 a turn. This will get the pb into the threads and will avoid breaking the bolt if it binds.

7)Remove the bolt. If you find that it is starting to bind again, apply pb and tighten to get to coat the internal threads.

8)Relax and admire the results.
