Brake feel questions...

Well, got the 951S home yesterday morning. Bled the brakes and put in a set of PF Carbon Metallic pads up front that came with the car. The pads are brand new, but had probably been sitting for a number of years.
I bled the system with a Motiv pressure bleeder using Motul600. I didn't really get any air out of the calipers at all.
However, the brake pedal is still fairly long in travel. I bed in the pads yesterday, but at the track today they didn't have the bite that I would've anticipated.
Any suggestions? Should I rebleed the system again? I expected a fairly hard pedal with short travel and a ton of bite on these pads...

Sounds like you have air in your system. The travel on the 944 is pretty short compared to like a 911. The pedal should be rock hard and unless you are a very fast driver the pedal shouldn't get spongy especially with a more agressive pad. Also that is good brake fluid. I have always bled my 951 brakes with a friend.
Seriously sounds like you've got some air. Did you bleed the brakes after you put in the pads. IE were the pads you put in lower on the wear limit. That might also cause you longer travel issue.

Nope, I bled the brakes, then put the pads in. The old pads were maybe 1/2 worn. Looks like I'm going to have to rebleed with the Motiv and have someone pump the pedal to really push the fluid through...
