Default Finally finished clutch job!!!!

Previous thread

Its done!!!! I can't believe the difference. Gone is the drivetrain slop, gone is the jerking when starting and stopping. The car feels 100% different. Smoother in all gears and more powerful. I pulled second today in a spirited driving session and got major rubber and I wasn't driving any harder than I've done in the past. I was shocked (then frightened for the tranny).

I figured that it was the clutch when I bought the car, but untill I got it apart I was not sure. Thanks to all for the support during the job and for the past posts detailing problems and solutions!

Congratulations! I know how it feels I drove my 83 with a bad clutch for almost a year, 2 months of that was in limp home mood. So when's the next clutch job?

hmm, the maxima has a new clutch and so does the GTO. I'm hoping the next clutch job is on a 951 or S2 in a year or so...

Take it easy, break in the clutch for ~600miles or so!
