save it for when your car needs repair. trust me. it's only a matter of time. once everything is in good mechanical and electrical order, THEN think about what to blow the money on.

$1000.00 -- Suspension upgrades.
$500.00 - Suspension upgrades.
$300.00 - Suspension upgrades.

Ok, more specifically:
$1000.00 - springs and shocks (Unfortunately, a full coil over setup will run about $3000.00 with parts and labor)
$500.00 - Bigger Torsion bars (Maybe need to spend more than $500 for them!)
$300.00 - Sways
-Z.

$1000... install all new weatherstripping throughout the car. I priced it at Pelican once. The total came to almost $700 dollars. Wow. After that, I'd use the rest on a track day.

If that is the case, it sounds to me like that money is already spoken for. Belts, rollers, waterpump, oil/filter change, trans fluid change, hoses, etc.................if you don't know when that work was done last. If all of that is done already in the appropriate past time frame, then save the money for the first failure (clutch/seals/transmission). It will happen. It is a rite of passage.
No nono...and yes, too... it's just a theoretical. Just looking for ideas of things I should/could do with those dollar amounts...wether it be maintaining the car or spiffying it up.

We do it all the time on guitar forums. "You got $1000 to spend, whaddaya get?"
Used Les Paul....amps...pickups..fret job...etc..

Leda coilovers for me and I volunteer to chip in the extra dough for the difference!

Or

Roll bar, pay my parents 600 for school and take 100 down to Tijuana and get some headwork at the brothel shop

jk btw on that very last part...

Oh.

If we are playing make-believe, then, I can play.................

For $1K:

New Koni's front and rear (yellow's)
968 Caster blocks
front and rear 968 M030 sway bars
Good alignment

It will seem like a whole different car.

A tank of gas, and with what's leftover, maybe a light for my clock.

At gas prices these days, that'd about cover it!
Up here we're $2.30+ for regular.
