Default Ignition wires recommendations for S/S2?

What are the recommendations for S/S2 wire sets? These can be pricey. Pelican has 8mm in a brand called "Clewett" for ~$90; Magnecor 8.5mm can be found for about the same price.

Anyone tried these (or any thing else)? I was thinking about upgrading to at least an 8mm wire set to allow for a coil/ignition upgrade at some stage on my S2.

I rang Magnecor about plug wires for my S2 and they said that they don't actually do them but what they can do is make you a set. Because the S2/S have very deep plug boots so they use the original Beru boots and then they fix in Magnecor wires. I'd stick with the stock items as they are top quality and Beru are one of the best in the buseiness.

In the US, Magnecor make S/S2 wires as a stock item (Part# 45235). However, Magnecor UK may not.

We have the same situation here in Australia. There's a local outfit producing "Magnecor" wires. At least that's the brand name -- licensed from the US company, obviously. But the wires are not the same. Nor do they have S2 wire sets in stock (but, as in the UK, they will make them up for you -- at a price. No thanks.)

I have 7mm stock wires at the moment, and I agree they are very good quality. Just looking for something in 8-8.5mm to handle a possible coil/ignition upgrade.
