Question Heater Control Valve-No Vacuum (this sucks)

1987 944S has no vacuum to heater control valve. Valve just replaced. Where does the other end of the vacuum line to the heater control valve go? To a vacuum "tee" under the intake? To the control **** on the dash? Can it be accessed without removing the intake?

Theres a few little pipes coming out of the firewall behind the cylinder head (but quite low down). IIRC, there are two water pipes and two vacuum pipes next to each other. relatively difficult to get to though, but it can be done without taking things apart.
