As your lawyer I recommend you keep the 951 Sell the S2 to buy a bigger turbo. Even 944 Turbos can't do the trick for me anymore because my dads 930 (K27) has spoiled me so so much.

Ahhhh, the joys of being bi-Porschular. You know how it is. . . If one's good, two must be twice as good. Now I'm in that situation where if TWO is so good then THREE. . .

Ni fone la!
That means you are crazy in Chinese, for some reason I keep hearing this from my wife!...lol

Bi-Porschular! It's been that way pretty consistant since the start.
1. 84' 944-60k garage queen (wish I never sold)
2. 86' 951-current track beast
3. 86' 951-parts car
4. 89' 951-parts car
5. 88' 951-half a parts car
6. 84' 944-parts car
7. 90' S2-New project

Granted half of these have been parts cars, but I've almost always had 2 in the garage. It would be really nice to only have one again. Actually have some garge space to start on my rear seat delete project.

I am going to fix all the major stuff on this S2, and I think, it will be the one for sale. I think everyone (60%) is right on the money, I'd miss the turbo way too much. If only I could have that wonderful S2 low rpm grunt though, it would be the perfect machine.
Damn you Porsche!!!! No you couldn't have made the 968 turbo into full production, ya, you wouldn't have wanted to make more than 14 of the best Porsche ever. DUMBASSES!
ok rant over.

Well the S2 from what I can tell needs:
Rebuild of the steering rack/hoses. Damn thing is leaking faster than you can pour it in.
Replacement drivers door and handle. Luckily I have a white door in the garage, but need a late handle.
Hood release bracket is broken. I think I have one.
Left rear bumper pad fell off. I have one.
A linen drivers seat, looks like sh$t, how does damage like that even happen. Has more crack than the cast of the OC.
I think the trans or torque tube mount mount is broken, or the exhaust is hitting the the CV axle. Something is not quite right back there.
Needs the usual all around fliud flush/fill, some major detailing, change the chain tensioner, and paint the valve cover.

Once all that stuff is done, it will be a pretty nice car. I think she will clean up real good.
It's got 162k, but recent clutch and belts.
If anyone is interested drop me a PM, lets talk.

Why is there no voting option for an LS1 engine swap into the 951 body financed by selling the S2 and 951 engine?

I can attest to this! I have owned my S2 for not even 2 years, and I have already spent more than $10k on maintenance / repairs.

I've had my S2 (Black 1990!) for almost a year, and I've probably spent <$1000. Most expensive things were two new front tyres (Yoko AVS Sports).

After that I did the balljoint rebuild using the Rennbay kit, swapping in 968 caster blocks "while I was in there". Wheels alignment after the balljoint repair. Mobil 1 oil change. Clutch fluid bleed. Changed the H4 bulbs (increased light output a lot, actually). Fuel filter. A relay. A radiator cap. Umm... oh yeah, I splurged and bought a new digital clock off ebay ($75).

This is a daily driver, BTW. I put about 500kms/week city driving on it on average.

So are S2s expensive to keep on the road? Well, not mine. But I did make sure that I got a car that had been properly maintained to start with, and had all the service records going back to new...

I have both, and although the S2 is a really good car, the 951 will always be the keeper if I ever have to sell one.

Spruce up the S2 minimally, and maybe you'll get a little money out of it in the sale.
