But driving there is half the fun!!! Fly into NY, and jump a ride with me! I can't talk my gf into going (She can't sleep in the fixed-back seats, and she won't ride in a car for that long unless she can sleep.), and all of my friends that have interest in this kind of thing are stuck working.

Was there a reason you removed the x over and headers before you took the engine out?

They had to come off anyway and it seemed like it would be easier to yank the engine that way. Once we had everything loose the engine popped right out. Had a little trouble working the oil cooler hose over the light bar, but other than that it was a snap. The biggest problem throughout the pull was 18+ yr old bolts! NOTHING wanted to come loose wothout liberal amounts of PB Blaster and cursing! I can't even count the number of bolts that we sheared off. What a nightmare.

Michelle (no slight intended... just admiration) you have the biggest pair of kahuna's ever, for attempting this project and being a girl and all.

I'd wet my pants just thinking about doing something like that alone in my garage!

Here's to Michelle and the preservation of the breed

Michelle Rules!

Later,
Cory

No, I decided to wait until I rolled it out of the garage and used your pressure washer on it. Didn't want to have the axles hanging loose along with the shaky front end. I put the crossmember bolts back in and got the cam tower off so I could take it to the machine shop to be hot tanked. Once I get the car and garage floor clean, that tranny is comin' out!
