New Euro Spec 944! Help Me Get It Running!

Ignition switch question?
The switch has this little black box screwed into the top of it with a pin switch in it. It was connected to the brown and blue wire you see in the first photo. The red wire off the relay was tapped in to the headlight motor fuse and the brown wire was loose...but looks like it went to the door pin switch for the interior light. The whole interior light system is rigged...maybe installed later because none of the wiring is Porsche. When I look at the wiring diagrams for the ignition switch, they don't show any more wires than the plug at the back. I'm confused. I have a poor little bastard car from Germany that somebody did a hack job on getting it to US specs and I want to get it back to original!

Big red relay is for power windows (I've been messing with mine for the past few hours...)
The connector on the ignition switch is probably something jerry rigged by the importer to get the fasten seatbelt light or key reminder. I'm thinking more along the line of key reminder if it goes to a door switch. The little silver box may be a buzzer - not a relay.

I used to have the "no fuel no spark" problem years ago and I unplugged the output closest to the firewall from the alarm control module in the center of the car under the dash, I left the smaller plug... plugged in. It solved the problem. Of course the alarm didn't work anymore but who cares, the 944 is not the type of car people steel... its parts are not as sought after on the black market. I bet you've tried all plug combinations.
Anyway, check out this link!!!!

It will tell you about the 944 wiring. I eventually learned to read the schematic over time doing my conversion. It was VERY helpful.
Hope it helps. If you have a specific question from the schematic, I can try and help. First little hint (and I'm not 100% sure) but most, if not all, brown wires are ground.

For ten bucks this may help you. Not mine. I was just looking.....
I also noticed that nothing you unhooked is marked? I woulr recomend you mark everything. I use masking tape flags on the wires and writhe down each wire on paper...... Just my .02
