Parting out an 86 951 in BOSTON
#31
I am very interested in the exhaust system from head to turbo. This includes headers, crossover pipe, and crossover connector. Also need all water and oil lines that run from motor to turbo and drivers side motor mount arm- this is the piece that turbocharger bolts to. Intake manifold would also be appreciated. Name your price on any or all parts that you have left if any. Thank You Shawn

I'm interested in reviving it if I can deal with the title issues. I've promised my youngest son a cheap 994/51 if he'll turn the wrenches and bring it back to life. He'll be 16 in Feb of next year, so I have plenty of time to get it done.

What are the title issues. I have dealt with these before and all it takes is a little time and leg work and some $$$$. I would be interested in the whole car as my 924s has basically turned into a track car and need another project / street car and a 951 is what I have been looking for. I am also local to you I live about 15 miles west of Boston.
As for parting versus selling whole:
If you have the time to take it all apart you should make more money parting but I can speak from experience that parting out a whole car can consume ALLOT of time and time is worth something. If you factor in the time you spend it is not such a great deal. I parted out a T-1 C-5 Corvette last summer and it turned into a full time job for about two months. Here is a link to my “selling page” http://www.marx7.org/~dsmith/corvette.htm trust me I speak from experience.
If you are interested in selling the whole car I would be interested but I realize that I am AT LEAST 2nd in line as others have expressed interest. I also just hate to see it get parted out when it looks like it is a very restorable car. Cars that get crashed are another story they should be parted out. They live on keeping other cars on the road (kind of like the organ donor thing) but this looks to be a basically complete running car that has just got old and seen allot of miles.
