PS pump seals - easy and cheap.
Hi,
I decided to re-seal my PS pump before installation. Found a repair kit which contains seals and internal pump gasket - $50
. Gasket is responsible for pump performance (pressure) and seals for leak prevention. Pumps do leak, do noise but the pressure drop is rear case. I disassembled the pump and discovered that seals are standard, so I went to the nearest shop and bought a set of seals - simmering and oring. Total cost: $3, labor time 1/2 hr (pump was off the car) .
