Default Motor specifications

Got the information of the motor in my car yesterday. Some of the stuff I think I may know what it does, others, I don't have a clue? I think I have this right, but his handwriting did not come through the fax all that good.
28 liter motor
Lindsey Stage III head
Lindsey Intake Manifold
Webcam ??
Lindsey Stage IV 80 mm MAR with afterboner ??
Lindsey Super 75 Torbo
Lindsey Stage II Aftercoader
Lindsey Wasregate
3" exhaust
BOV (or BAV) ??
Thermal coating ??
If anyone can interpet this for me, that would be great. Think I did see a add for this Lindsey-place in the Excellence magazine. Think I could call them?

28 liter is impressive! I think it's supposed to be 2.8........
Stage III head OK
Intake manifold OK
Webcam is an uprated cam OK
Stage IV MAF with Mafterburner is your intake system and it's fuel controller
Super 75 Turbo is one of LR's uprated ones OK
Stage II Aftercoader? Not sure on that one. Maybe Intercooler????
Wastegate is a wastegate! does he mention Single or dual port type?
Exhaust OK
BOV is Blow off Valve. Keeps the turbo lag down.
Thermal coating. Could be on antying They offer it on heads, exhausts, intakes, you name it. Get some more details on that one.
Lindsey are on www.lindseyracing.com. Just hunt through their website for the parts. Give Dave a call if you have questions though. He doesn't bite!

Sounds like you got a nice car!

Yowza. It sounds like the guy you purchased the car from spent some cash. Do you have any plans to do some driving events with it? That is where these cars really shine.

Thanks, it was hard reading the fax that Tim sent to me. Yea, the car is damn fast, especially once it gets going. I want to do some events, but will probably have to go to Atlanta, Charolette or Nashville. There aren't any locally. I think there is some type og event in Nashville at the end of the month and I may go there. Whats is required to enter one of the club races? Helment, roll bar? I need to put some miles on the car. I'm getting use to the way the car handles and accelerates. I can'y believe there is a car thats can be faster than this one. I was on I40 today and a guy in a Honda S2000 was messing with me. I know thoses cars are fast, but I know I could have beat him, but I still a little scared of the car. I did get it up to 100 mph, but then slowed. It was exciting. Any ideas on how fast this car might go? Think 140? The S2000 will go that fast I think. Is anyone in Nashville that has information on the events?

First, I'm not condoning street racing (in fact, don't do it again!), but you'd have murdered that S2000. You can get to 170 easy, and the Honda is limited to 155.

As for the Autocross stuff. Have a search on posts by Z-man. He's the man for that stuff! There's also an autocrossing board on the menu to your left <, under perf. and comp.

Nice car...

I'm pretty sure Aftercoader is the intercooler. Some people call it an aftercooler, so aftercoader is really dang close, so I'm pretty sure that's what that meant. I'm just concerned about a car with an afterboner...too much viagra?

You'd probably get to 170 before he gets to 155 with the upgrades that car supposedly has. But after reading your ****-throwing fest, I wouldn't want you to test that theory and kill someone...

Afterboner? Hell, pull a double stint!

I know what an afterboner is... Just not appropriate on Family Forum

944 guy.

You have alot to learn about being a responsilble porsche owner. Realize that the car is much faster than you are. Racing. There is NO WAY you will be "racing" that car for many years. Lest not legally.

I Race. That is proper wheel to wheel racing. I driven past guys who have 100 more hp than me and 10 times more skill than you do. So just think about that before you get any ideas of "racing". Please...
