that picture is messing with me.

Looks like im looking at one of those magic eye 3d pictures... i wonder of those magic eyes work if theyre in jpg format hmmm...

there was somebody else who did this with a red 944. I saw it a while ago on google

EDIT: nevermind it was a 944 with a volvo or something

That wasn't a trailer it was a "pusher trailer" read the article the engine apparently runs and assists the pcar?

If you read the page, the trailer is an engine to assist the electric motor and batteries that are installed in the 944.

I could be wrong, BUT I e-mailed with a guy who's friend has this trailer. Unfortunately the mail/addy is on the old PC. I think it is actually a camper, but it wasn't in the USA and maybe the word for trailer in canada, or wherever is "camper". Who knows. My impression from reading the note and seeing the pic was it was designed to be slept in!

Then again, it looks too small for that!

Dan, that was me who sent the picture of my friend's CAMPER 944 trailer. It's understandably much larger than the other one since it was built to accomodate 2 adults. I was hoping that they could bring it to 944Fest'05, but sadly they can't make it this year. I believe he's writing up an article on its design and fabrication (he salvaged an already 'totaled' car to build it) for Panorama, but here are some pix of it in the meantime.

Nope! That trailer is for real. I've seen it in person. The guy does regular DE events at the local PCA. He carries his extra gear in that thing.

Thanks for clearing that up, Brian! Now I see, there is a HUGE difference there. These pics of your buddies' camper deserve their own thread, not many folks will see it buried in this one!! Was I right about the Canada thing? Where is trailer #2 based?
