Can I fit this in the trunk?
Before I buy a 944, I'm just curious, could I fit a bmx bike it the rear if I fold the seats down? I know I can do it in a Corrado (friend has one), so I figure a bike would fit in a 944 no problem, am I right? Going with that thought, does anyone here ride bmx? Thanks.

Once when driving to Florida, I had my mountain bike in the rear hatch with the frontire removed. It was shortly after getting the vehicle and I did not know about the wheel lock on one of the lugs. I got a flat tire near Lakeland on 75 so I took the bike out of the hatch and found a 24 hr service station. I had to ride about 5 miles through the wooded terrain parallel to the interstate. Thank God the bike fit! Ahhh great motoring memories!

Yes, the BMX bike will fit with no problem. Fold the back seat down, and have the front wheel toward the front of the car, turned sideways. Best to have it laying witht he drive-side up. Put a blanket above and below (to protect the carpet and the hatch).
I can still fit a road bike in mine with the front wheel off, and that's even with the roll hoop installed in the car.
Of course, I normally prefer to carry my bikes on top of my daily driver on the roof rack, but the 944 does great in a pinch.

Three Wheelin'
I have fit 2 mountain bikes with wheels removed (but also stowed in the hatch with the frames, with no problem.
I have also transported a complete 5 piece drum kit.
It's the one thing I think I'll really miss when I get a 993. This car is hugely practical!
