Me too....
'87 944 NA daily driver (except in snow)....55 miles each way. Averages about 29.5 mpg. In four years of commuting she failed once, when the fuel pressure regulator went. My (now gone) brand new Land Rover Freelander in the same four years stranded me 5 times!!
Keep up the maintenance and they keep on running! 145K on mine.
