Exhaust is a easy add on part. I have a B&B on my 924S and with a K&N intake I noticed a great change in power! Best wishes - Jay

the 944 spec racer guys have tried filter and exhaust combos, have gained at most 3 hp. 20hp is headwork.

It would make sense to remove weight as well, buy a pair of bucket seats and ditch the rear seat, stereo, speakers and put lighter smaller diameter wheels on the car.

www.jmengines.com His cam might get you close you your goal, and leave you enough for exhaust. Otherwise, it takes more then a grand to get 20 hp out of a 944.... Unless you were to raise compression to like 11.0 to 1, and leave everything else alone... that would be under a grand, but you wouldnt really be able to do much with it without engine managment.

"PH 277-14 for 944/928
Best power band 4000-6600 rpm. 900 rpm idle. .474 cam lift (In & Ex) with stock base circles for drop in performance. Uses stock or 944 Turbo valve springs for best results. Motronic chip must have rev limit raised for best results. 14-20 bhp over stock camshaft with non-stock exhaust. Needs stock (37 psi.) fuel system pressure with Motronic at click 1. Tested against all competitors camshafts and proven better. None were comparable."

$650.00

that, with exhaust seems like your best bet.

A tuned exhaust to the 944 N/A engine will increase the speed the engine revs which in turn leads to quicker low end acceleration. I noticed a difference on the 944 N/A race car I drive when the stock exhaust was changed out. Especially out of turn 7 at Road Atlanta. The engine will have better efficency too.

A good detailing of the car can't hurt to get rid of dirt and grim that has built up over the years. Basically lose some weight.

that weight cant be more then 5 pounds, TOPS, unless you drive through tar pits regularly on your way to work... Though it is a very nice thing to have a clean car all around.

For $1k, best bang for the buck is .... you guessed it... NAWWWZZzzzssss Easily get a +50hp shot no problem with money left over for refills. The all-motor way of getting +50hp is gonna cost you like $10k.

Spaces and capital letters would be very helpful.

Sorry, I'm in a grumpy mood.

Air filter, msd and plugs will not give more power. NOS will probably be bad for reliability.

Best way to make your car accelerate faster is to remove weight and keep the engine healty.
