The 944 n/a cars are pretty much at peak power from the factory. There is little you can do to produce acceptable increases in power without going into the engine itself. Furthermore, it appears from your posts (this one and others) that you want your 944 to be something it is not. I suggest that you may want to rethink your purchase and selct a car better suited to your desires - or just drive the BMW when you want additional speed.

Hey punk, chill out. Crying may get you what you want at 2-3 years old, but not much after that. I'm not sure if you're having problems expressing yourself, or if you have short memory, or if you can't comprehend what you yourself wrote:
"i wondering i have 2000 to put in the cars that mean 1000 each i want to get better performance , , So my question is what things can i buy and add to this cars to get 15 to 20 hp more and they can be same level to 325is"
You're actually asking TWO separate and distinct questions here:
1. How can I get better performance out of my 944 for $1000.
People have answered this for you in numerous ways on what you can do with $1000. But it's not what you want to hear... well, the truth hurts sometimes. Life can suck, deal with it.
2. What can you buy and add to 944 to make it equivalent of 325is.
This is a COMPLETELY different question than the first. Get this through your bulletproof skull: NOT FOR $1000!!! OK? If you want stick with your $1000, then the above answers are correct for a +5-10hp gain... maximum.
Here's the specs I've found on a BMW 325is:
Uh... this BMW has a FULL 34 BHP MORE than your 944NA's 155bhp. Let's see what we can do to get you that HP rating. Two paths come immediately to mind.
PATH #1 - install 944S motor for 188 bhp
$1500-2500 for 944S motor, depending upon condition
$500-800 944S wiring-harness, DME, AFM, injectors
$5000 labor installation
-------------------
$7000-8300 TOTAL
The 944S is a darn good car. It pretty evenly splits the difference between a 944NA and a 944S2. Does 0-60 a little faster at about 7.5s and 1/4-mile in exactly the same 15.8s as the 325is.
PATH #2 - upgrade 944 motor to 189 bhp (+34hp)
Tried and true hot-rod techniques work just fine on a 944NA motor (all prices include labor):
$1000 (+5-7hp) mill head 0.060" to maximize compression
$1600 (+15-20hp) full headwork: larger back-cut narrow-stem valves, fully-contoured radiused seats, full D-porting of intake-ports (extend into intake-manifold)
$650 (+4-8hp) 4-1 longtube exhaust headers
$450 (+2-3) cat-bypass exhaust
$700-800 (+5-12hp) custom cam for above configuration
$395 (+2-4hp) adjustable cam-gear for tuning (no labor, included in cam-price)
$1500 (+4-5hp) MAF-conversion with customized dyno-tuned chip for your car
----------------------
$6295-6395 for +30-35hp
There you go, two options to equal the performance of your 325is... that's the truth, take it or leave it. You can whine all you want about wishing the sun would rise at 3am tomorrow. No matter how much you jump up and down and yell and scream and pout, life just goes on the way it does...
Send me your car and a check for $6300 and I will deliver a 189 bhp 944 for you. I'll cap the cost at that amount and if I don't get you the prerequisite 189 bhp upon dyno-testing, I'll add whatever additional mods necessary at my own expense.

Just a few quick comments here. First of all - I didn't know the US NA had 155BHP? Thought it was 150. Secondly, I also believed the ROW version to have 163BHP, making the difference to the BMW 26HP (still a considerable amount of HP - BMW have always been rich on power!!).
Finally - our engines deteriorate over the years... it'd be optimistic to think that an engine with 200.000Km runtime will be as fresh as new. Guidos 944's with about-90.000Km could be in a fairly good condition though.
Best regards,
Ørjan Sandland

Guido, the bottom line is that you're not going to get 20 HP for $1000.
Take a DE course and learn what the car can do, then come back and ask if you need more assistance.

I personally like my motor the way it is. Despite only 150 HP, with the right suspension mods it will be a fast car through the road course and fun to throw around turns. You can do a camshaft upgrade like John Milledge's camshaft and have a performance chip burned to utilize the cam with A/F ratios that the chip increases.
