That car makes me so freakin jealous I feel like driving mine off a cliff on Hwy. 1...but I always seem to turn that wheel just in time.

I am extremely late to this, but no one posted C2s. Here is a set of polished C2s on an 86. Big spacers.

Those of you guys with CCW's: Is there any way to put a center cap on the wheels?

Nope. Sadly there is not. I mean I suppose you could build a custom one, but I cant imagine it'd look very good. I need to add photos of the new 951 to this thread.

You can buy the street series wheels that look almost the same but the centers are not forged. They have a recess cut for a centercap but are not hubcentric. The track series are hubcentric with no clearance for any type of cap. The cap for the spindle nut actually sticks out a bit from the wheel. This would mean you would need a raised center-cap like some of the old style BBS wheels had. Personally I don't mind the 'no cap' look at all, it grows on you.

Actually, CCW sells a "street" version of the "Classic." It has a center cap. But there are some changes. Some significant, some not so significant.

The big difference is the change in how the wheel is configured. The track version is hub centric and the hub will stick through the center hole, making it impossible to fit a center cap on. The street version has less "dish" to move the face of the wheel towards the fenders and provide enough depth so that the hub doesn't protrude through the wheel face. This allows for a center cap.

The other differences are that the track version is double drilled around the rim so that you have twice as many holes as bolts, it is also double drilled for the lug bolts (although only one set is usable), and cadmium plated nuts and bolts are used instead of the chrome capped bolts/nuts on the street version. These have a gold look.

So the track version ends up looking very purpose built. In person, I actually prefer this over the street version. Some people paint their hubs, but I think it actually looks better raw.

I was looking to get the street version, but I haven't seen any pics of it and all the pics on their website are track wheels. I haven't been to their site in a while so I'll look again.

Here is the street wheel in black:

Here's the track series with the extra outer holes and lugs holes.

Thanx Kuhl

I went back to their website already and found a pic of the street wheel. I think it'll do just fine!
