944 S&S2 v. e30 M3 ???
#16
I just bought an e30 (325i) last week and drove it every day until getting the S2 out of the garage today. Wow....I think I like them both. I was thinking about selling the S2 while driving the e30, but now I'm not so sure. The s2 definitely feels like a bigger car, and while I haven't driven an M3, my e30 does have some aftermarket springs & rides very low & corners very well. I think I like them both for different reasons. Perhaps if I drove an M3....I'd be willing to part with my s2. I like small cars...and the e30 is definitely smaller. Nice big trunk though for hauling mulch...8)...very practical little cars.
I think for a daily driver, an M3 or any e30 would be easier to live with, normal people can ride in the back seats and the trunk is surprisingly roomy.

it's a moot point anyhow. they are both great sports cars with aggressive styling and impressive handling, and a hardy group of fanatical followers.

While the 951 was competing with identical cars the DTM series where the E30 has always been a bit of Formula 1 with bodies when it comes to technology and it was pretty amazing to see the evolution of the E30.
But, comparing a 944S2 to a stock E30 M3 can't be anything else than a win for the S2. But who cares really, they are both wonderful cars and I am unsure which would be more fun to own and drive.
