Well, looks like the car wasn't up to the trip... not too serious (read: costly), but I won't be able to get a new CV joint boot until Wednesday, so the car sits on jack stands until then. Luckily, the CV joint itself looks pretty good, so i guess I caught this in time.
Have a good time, and hopefully I'll meet everyone at 944 fest.

I have good news and bad news on the car. The good news is that I got the alignment done in time for tomorrow, the bad news is that I found a fuel leak that wont allow me to go tomorrow. So unfortunatly I am now not going to be able to make it tomorrow.

My dad has work off, so he wants to dig into this fuel problem right away, and get it taken care of so it doesnt end up getting put off until the Fest. Hopefully no other unexpected problem will come up before the Fest, and then I will meet up with you all then.

So by 11am tomorrow, hopefully the car will be on jackstands, and have a plan for what we need to do with the fuel leak. Its in the back by the fuel filter, which is also close enough to the exhaust to scare me. Especially since if it catches fire, the tank is sure to go along with it.

Have a great time everyone! Take some awesome pictures for me so I can update my desktop picture!!

Cars washed, oil changed, and some hose leaks are fixed so shes ready for tomorrow. Didnt have time to vacuum it out so we will see how early i want to get up in order to this otherwise ill just lock the doors with the windows up. See ya'll tomorrow.

OK - I'm heading to spend the night at my brothers (he's not coming the bum) so I won't be on the list again to after the GTG. You're right the weather is patchy for tomorrow, but when's the last time we haven't had a rain forecast for Memorial Day in SW MI???! All I can say is bring a sweatshirt as it has a tendancy to be quite a bit cooler on the lake with those northwesterly winds... great for kite flying though!
