Ideola and I are planning a trip to Chicago area to pick up another 924 and we are trying to incorporate a stop at the dunes to meet up with you guys. It would be on the return trip so I am hoping to make it.

Here's the run down on how I think things would best work out instead of me hawlin' a bunch of food that nobody ate last year anyway...
The truth is that we had more fun going to "Redamacks" last year than eating my homemade hamburgers (they have beer too). Redamacks is the best burger joint in southwest Michigan hands down. They are only open during the summer and are located in the neighboring town of New Buffalo, so here's what I'm thinking...
1) Meet up around 11:00 (should give everybody time to get there)
2) Meet up and chat and meet who you don't know but through Rennlist
3) Gawk at each others cars
4) Take Pics
5) Quick tour of the Warren Dunes
6) Take a drive to New Buffalo (about 20 mins) and eat lunch at Redamacks (you will not be disappointed)
7) Take more Pics
8) Run through the Beach/Park at New Buffalo and take a lakeside tour of all the cool homes along the waterfront (would take about 15-20 mins.)
9) Make a run back to the Dunes, park, get out my stunt kite (yes I said kite and if your laughing ask the guys from last year about the blast they had flying this thing)
10) Lounge the chairs that you should bring to sit in and drink the booze we snuck in ;-)
11) Line the cars up along the water front and take some pics
12) Line the cars up along the edge of the dunes and take some more pics
13) Wait for the sun to sit over the lake and take some pics of the cars with the water behind them and the sun sitting.
14) Say goodbye
Here's a couple more teaser photos of last year and what you'll be missing if you don't come :-)

Here are a couple of web links:
http://www.michigandnr.com/parksandt...fo.aspx?id=504
There's a pretty detailed .pdf map of the park here (unit map link from the above page):
http://www.michigandnr.com/Publicati..._dunes_map.pdf
It looks like there's pretty much just the one main parking area near Pikes Peak, near the south side of the park. I guess it shouldn't be too dificult to find a bunch of other 944's there...

JP thanks for posting the links. Yeah, it's right in the park (Warren Dunes State Park). Go through the ticket booth and keep going straight until you get to the beach parking lots. There are like 3-4 side by side parking lots, one after another, I'm not sure where we will setup or should I say lounge up, but we won't be hard to find!
Last year we had a call for a big storm, which did hit and eventually emptied out the beach, but after it stopped Dan and I whipped out the Quick Detailer and tire shine and had the run of the place pretty much to ourselves!!!
Looking forward to meeting some new people again this year!
Take Care,
Cory
