Anyone have any information (good or bad) concerning the speedforceracing supercharger for the 8v 944?

Few people actually have these, that I know of. It is without a doubt the most bolt on hp youll get on a 944 n/a. I think their highest stage puts out over 200 hp. Reliability will, without doubt, go down due to the higher compression in the combustion chamber without lower compression pistons.
An air fuel mixture controller is included though, which is the most important thing in any forced induction system.
Since the 951 puts out 10 psi stock with 8.0:1 compressoin ratio, yielding 217 hp.
Your 924S with stage 2 8 psi SC with 10.2:1 compression ratio will probably be about the same, but this depends on the efficiency of the supercharger. I couldn't find a dyno sheet on their website.

Tim's a good guy, I saw his test car with a 951 intercooler. Very reliable when you put one of those on and run 91 octane, 95 reccommended

Actually the price is not that high compared to many systems offered for BMW's and Audis. Hell, even Flyin Miata kits that are bulletproof 220rwhp upgrade for miatas are $5000+
The only thing i would do differently on SFR kits is the ECU mangement as in Semi-standalone system. I would love to fiddle with timing, mixture and stuff like that myself.
If i could afford one i'd get it, but for now i can hardly afford my car

Not the same comparison, but I grenaded a stock 944 tranny within 10k miles of upping the motor to a 968 motor. I have a brand new clutch that's holding up so far.

So, would the clutch and tranny hold up or would those need to upgraded as well

Clutch will go very fast, tranny can stand some beating

The downside with this kit is just the price. I'm sure SFR doesn't get much of a margin on the blower, and besides that, they will try to make up for it with a 60% profit margin on the brackets. That's my guess anyway.
I'd love something like this, but the information and details seem "hidden". I'm gearing up to slap a turbo on my 10.2:1 '88. It should be finished for less than the SFR kit.

...upon further inspection...
Is it me, or does that kit look EXTREMELY simple to replicate? That blower can be bought for well under $2k. There's only 2 brackets there and both look simple.
Damn capitalism I say! haha. This kit should cost 3200 max.

In maybe 1-2 years I'll be able to access my University's CNC machine. With that, a tube bender, and a few clean welds, a SC kit can easily be made. The blower is very expensive though.
