Default RHD hatch release

My manual says I have one. Where? There is an empty space/socket on the r/h drivers wall. Could this be the missing release?
An interior release for the hatch would be so much better than manual unlocking.
Who's replaced one? Where do I get the parts? How do I do it?
Thanks

Hey guys and gals
I would really like to figure this out. If anybody has a response, please say so. If the switch is in the same position (LHD) but on the other side of the car, tell me a fix. I'll try and take a pic and post.

If I was you I would try contacting a couple parts vendors. Maybe local ones, or if not try www.paragon-products.com they have great customer service and I'm pretty sure they don't mind shipping internationally.

Oh you could also try looking in PET.

What, you want an auto release for the rear hatch, is that what you are saying, like push a little button up front, and whoosh, she opens?

You need a button/switch to go under your dash, near your hood release, connect it to the fuse box, and then a motor to connect it to the back.

Hm - pm me, if you are serious.

I have a switch and a release motor (I could make you a good deal on them). I can also take some digital photos of the mounting locations since my car is a race car and as such the interior is stripped.

I couldn't tell you if the wires are in your loom or not. You may have to run some wires, but if you study the wiring diagram that shouldn't be all that hard.
