I was going to get involved in FSAE, but living 40 miles off campus doesn't allow me to dedicate much time to it. Besides, they make most freshman "wash the dishes" and you can't use any machinery until you take a shop class (which doesn't happen until soph year).
Waste my time trying to find sponsors and scavanging funds? No thanks.
Good luck with the sale.

Some schools are so extreme that you can't be on the team until Junior or Senior year, other schools allow freshman to be full members. You just have to look around.

Good luck with the sale! It's for the best, and you can always buy another!

I graduate in May too, Ian, but from University. That's a good decision, it has been really hard to keep my car through school; most of the time it has been off the road. But unlike you, I haven't had a a chance to truly enjoy mine yet!
I have no regrets, and I look forward to bravely facing the real world and getting to drive and work on my car more.
Good luck!

Wow....I took a look at the additional pictures. That engine bay makes me want to run out right now and start detailing my engine bay. Incredible. I think this car is a good example of why it's worth paying a bit extra to get a well maintained one. Heads up to random newbies browsing Rennlist....look for a car like this one when you finally make the plunge.

Thanks for all the support guys I really appreciate it! I'm planning on going to Georgia Southern University and unfortuneately they don't offer FSAE. I was tossing the idea of going to GA State just for that reason so I could experience the team, but I just can't see the big city life being right for me.

Man Tarheel, your 944S was one of my most favorites among the 16-valvers on this forum. Real shame it has to go, but I wish you the best in school. That is the most important.
