Pulled it out of the top row of relays. It was buzzing! Not a contacting buzzing but and electric buzzer shreik.
Paniced right away when I thought it was Oil pressure, but the Gauge showed strong oil pressure and the was no light. Car runs fine with relay removed. Power windows dont work now tho!
Why would a power window relay have a buzzer built in?
Any ideas? I think I will try translating "Zeitrelais" and see what comes up.

Audi part number:
171 919 433 4 "warning time relay" 15, 31, 85, 86, G, L
No such relay listed for 944's in the catalogs I have. May have been a substitution.
Year car and model would help.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts
and/or cam chain and tensioner?

Not really odd at all- there are a lot of VW-Audi relays in the early 944's and ALL of the 924's
PET response- Part number unknown.
Which location? It is in the Haynes manual by location for the 944.

Are you sure it's not your "key reminder" buzzer? I took mine out, since it buzzed whenever the key was in the ignition and the door was open. I can't remember where it was, but I ran across a loose relay yesterday with a big "4" painted on it.
