I think its a cool car, but every other car I see on the road around here is a vette. If I wanted to be driving a car everyone else had, Id drive a civic. But, to each his own, congrats.

 

You're right, he should get a guards red 944 NA, they're the ****.

When they first came out, I was doing replacement switches, dash components, run flat monitors, power steering racks like crazy (at least a few of them a week, I did all the non Mercedes repair work for the MBZ dealer down the road, he took a ton on trade). As they got further along they fixed most of the problems. Fun cars to drive, enjoy it!

You know Randy, these guys have a point. You should just say screw the vette and get a red 944 NA. Make sure you paint your cam tower, you know to set your red 944 NA apart from... the other red 944 NAs.

My grandmother was going to get a red 944 NA (she says she likes to blend in) but decided to go for a Civic instead, as they're much faster...

I heard about this sweet AUTO red NA at this car show. I think its for sale, the guy said it was really rare.

 

Since you are thinking about a Civic, maybe you could paint is bright Orange and get stickers, a LOT of stickers!! I hear if you get 20" wheels on your civic that you will be like the coolest guy in (where are you?)!!

Vettes are a great bang for buck sports car. Loads of fun and because of the big hood line, it is like driving the Batmobile. Something I have always wanted to do!!

Well you see, what really matters is that you don't see a 944 everyday (on one 100 mile road trip, me and Randy saw 7 of them, 3 of which were red NAs).

The problem is, 944 NAs are too good to be compared to a C5 vette. I mean, they're ultra reliable, drop dead gorgeous looks, the red ones are rare. And all that PERFORMANCE...

I didn't think I would be flamed for expressing my opinion in this thread.. but I guess I was wrong. All I was saying is that corvettes are very common around here, and I'd rather not drive a car that you see all the time. If this comment offends you, or makes you feel that you should flame another member because you disagree with it, then I must say thats pretty childish.

Was this supposed to be funny? Maybe Im missing the humor? Was this supposed to be insulting? Did I ever say that a 944 was better then a vette (or civic for that matter) ? What does painting the cam tower have to do with anything?
