Default Spindle upgrade?

Has anyone done the conversion of pre-'87 spindles to '87+ ones to accomodate late offset wheels and / or big brakes? I'm considering doing this on my early '85 and want to know what's involved other than just buying the spindles. What else will I need to replace and how difficult is it to change the spindles themselves (front and rear)?

You need:

- spindles
- struts (or elongate holes in existing struts)
- A-arms
- brake-rotors

If I was gonna do that, I would go straight to the TurboS set-up with the radially-mounted bigger brakes.

That would be ideal, but finding a turbo-s being parted in such a manner might be tough. I suppose I could order all those parts new, but I imagine they'd run about a grand (or more) for all those.

Second stupid question, but are the rear trailing arms and spindles the same thing? Sorry but I'm "suspensionally challenged" right now and I'm trying to figure out how all this stuff goes together and what I'll need.
