Just read in the paper Martin Sheen and Dennis Hopper will be in Marion(?) Indiana, the birthplace of James Dean, for a 50th anniversary celevbration of his death the weekend of June 3-5. Marion is about 60 miles east of Indianapolis.

Anybody interested in making a day trip out of it???

The only caveat for me is the Taj Kreuzers is the same weekend, but I only plan to go to the car show on Sunday. So I have Saturday free, and if push came to shove, could take a Friday vacation day if Friday was better.

Im not sure of the exact schedule and festivities just yet but it sounds pretty big. Ive never been there and mentioned a possible day trip to his grave last winter. Marion is out in the country so the drive should be a good one.

Any interest? Id hate to see nothing but a bunch of Bubbas in Cadillacs there.

Its going to be held at Marion County airport with the biggest drive-in screen in the world built for the occasion. A "Cool Car Show" ongoing all weekend, and a bunch of other stuff. Cast members from his films there, etc.

Honestly...............I would love to go.

But........................it is the same weekend as the event that I have promised to work/support/promote. My schedule just isn't going to allow it.
