While Perry's award was special, I really think I went over the top with this year's trophies. These are 944 jugs powder coated to a chrome look. Pictures don't do them justice! So far I've got SIX of these to give out, maybe more by showtime. Wouldn't one of these look sweet on the desk or mantle? Come and get them!!

Thanks perry!

I'm still trying to see if I can swing it, Jake was thinking of possibly flying up to copilot with me down there... we'll see!

Does anyone want to suggest topics for a tech session that the KCWS (well, me anyway) can host at the 944Fest? Timing belt tensioning is always popular, of course, brake service is another one. What else? Maybe a general service and maintenance tech session going over all the idiosyncrasies of the 944? Throw some suggestions out.

Regards,

For those that have caravaned with me in the past 2 years... I'll be starting a thread soon for a caravan which has included the following states in the past:

-Iowa
-Minnesota
-Wisconson
-Northern Illinois
-Michigan
-Northern Indiana
-Northwestern Ohio

I won't start the post until we get closer to the Fest date though! Can't wait!!!!!!

I'll take the KC to ST Louis to Indy caravan! I am guessing we will drive from KC to Indy on Friday and roll into the Fest early afternoon on Sat, like we did in '03.

Scott,

Maybe a AFM 'R&R', with a wiper arm tweak in there just for good measure. While it is currently running fine, I'll gladly volunteer our 100K+ mile '85.5 as a test subject --- the AFM is still the original and has never been off the car

Regards,
How about sun roof tech 101? I think mine is going to go soon - would be nice to get a little primer if I don't have to do it myself before hand.

Any others coming from the southeast Michigan, northwest Ohio area? We could arrange a caravan (need a better term than that). Porsche posse?

I hope the caravan can keep up with your "rolling"!!

Scott - it'l be great to see you again- you were definetly missed last year!

Cory, If you want I could pick up the SSW contingent on the way in- unless my presence is request earlier for setup.

I'd be more than happy to do a sunroof workshop...

Scott,

Not to worry, we're on it.
We still have to finalize the headcount, but it does appear that a few of us (Stu & possibly Vaughan, etc.) will be going from these parts, and a Porsche Posse sounds like fun. We want to camp, so it seems our van will be making the trip as well so there should be a bit more room for transporting things <like spare tires> down.....leaving the P-cars lighter and more nimble for the roads near Mi-Ohio
In fact, maybe our standard route to get to the track should be altered in favor of finding a more driver-oriented passage? Just something to ponder...

We'll trade some emails as the date draws nearer for sure,
Brian
