Exclamation More strange sounds.. help diagnosing

Okay.. well I went out again today, and I have noticed recently a nasty screeching sound when I drive. It happens only when I turn (i think), but on sharper turns its even louder than on just slight bends - but its very noticable and annoying (loud). Im not really too sure how to describe what it sounds like other then like the loud creaking sound that some old doors make when theyre opened.
I recently put the summer wheels and tires on, but I noticed this sometimes beforehand and I have run these exact wheels last year so im about 99.9% sure they arent rubbing. I'm sure they need a good allignment just because, but thats another day. I do not have much mechanical talent when it comes to diagnosing problems, the only work ive done on cars is what ive done on this one so far .. which again isnt much. So please, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thx.

have you ever changed the wheel bearings?
if the car is sitting on the ground, parked, if you push in on the wheels/tires is there any play or are they tight?, at least one wheel may feel loose, thus, your bad bearing. May need just to be repacked, but probably better off replacing it, and the other side.

And if this has been going on for some time, you really want to think twice about driving it until you get the condition of the wheel bearings verified. You don't want one of these guys to seize while you are driving, particularly at speed.

Did you check the fluid level in the power steering tank.

I dont recall ever changing the wheel bearings. I have only owned the car for under a year, and the only major work I have done so far was change the clutch and basically all the "while you're in there" stuff for that. So, unless the bearings are a while youre in there, i doubt that i have changed them. I will try what Mac recommended tomorrow, just because its getting dark out now and i wouldnt be able to do anything tonight if they were bad. Is this definitally what you think the sound is coming from? I thought it was initally from a squeeky belt, but that was just a guess (i never even thought of the bearings)
