Torque specs and Oil cooler setup questions
I need help with two things friends. First, I read the directions on the torque specs for my head. I ended up at 90 ft. lbs. instead of Newton units. Should I back off the nuts of leave it alone? Second, I'm installing the oil cooler only to remember a page at arnnworx.com that the oil presssure relief valve needs to be lined up with care. Where do I get one of these tools?

back off the head carefully until you get the correct torque. you may have to completely loosen everything, then try it again.
i believe i got my oil cooler alignment tool at www.paragon-products.com. it's just a big round bolt that screws in to help align the cooler with the block correctly.

Once the head gasket is compressed it probably isn't any good. I would go get another one and redo the procedure, it's not worth a $30 gasket to have to do the entire thing over from square one.
