so my car hates me. I got a new starter thanks to Xsboost, and put in a new slave cylinder and all was well. Went out tonight, car was hard to start. Came out of Applebees and no go. It will crank like crazy, but doesn't even attempt to fire. This is an early 85. Any thoughts?

no, nothing else. It ran great for a few days about 300 miles. I was tired last night, I do not think it has anything to do with the slave or the starter. It acted a little strange a couple times before this and it would crank but not fire at all. A few tries and it was like something would work and it would start up no problem. It wasn't like it just needed a lot of cranking, it was like something just worked all of a sudden. Does this sound like anything common?

You have to check the spark and the injectors(signal). If one of these 2 things are bad than you have to think that you have a bad DME.My car run fine for 15 years, then in one sunday it was very hard to start it,but after 20 atempt it starts and run fine for another 2 years, but after that in one morning .....nothing.I crank one whole day and check everything (14 days!!!) and finaly discover one bad solder in DME and that cause no spark....
Or is the pump relay...

No spark, no fuel, could be due to a number of issues. Clark put together a no-start troubleshooting guide on his site, I'd check it out. www.clarks-garage.com
