Default New Machined 968 Turbo S Pistons Intrest?

Since forged turbo pistons for the 3.0liter bore just are not available anymore I am thinking of producing a run of them if I find enough people interested. These will be true forged 8:5 to 1 turbo pistons made in our machine shop. Right now I am trying to see if there is any interest for such a thing to make it worth while to set up a run of them.............

If you have any comments or thoughts let me know. We are also going to be looking for someone with a 3.0 951 or 968 turbo to test a set of these pistons for us before we offer them. If you have any interest in helping us test we will provide the pistons at no cost as long as you are willing to test and report. We will need someone who will put them to the EXTREME test such as a racer or Drivers Ed nut. Thanks guys!

Any idea on a ballpark price? I'm sure interest will be proportional to price.

Exactly. I'll volunteer my car if you can throw in a 3.0L block & crank too.

The hard part is the plating, unless these are for sleeved motors. I recall hearing the plating is hard to do with today's EPA regs. If it were just pistons you can get JE or some custom pistons made from Chevy blanks. Sadly you need a plating for the alusil bores, or a sleeved block. Hello $10K motor build.
